Pacific Coast Adventure: Day 6 Santa Barbara to LA

It was so nice not having to wake up super early in the morning. Instead I slept in (‘til 7:30) and then went downstairs for breakfast. I finished writing a blog post and then went upstairs to get ready for the day. I threw on a long sundress and a light flannel and began walking to the beach. Along the way I decided to get a pedicure since yesterday I realized I was in sandals and my toes were not done!

I had lunch up on the boardwalk and just enjoyed being in the sun until I wanted to go to the Jazz Festival. It still wasn’t like the festivals I had been to in the past, even though during the day there was one stage with multiple artists on it. I think it’s because it wasn’t as large as the concerts and festivals I normally go to. When you’re at a huge concert it’s easy to get lost amongst the crowd and meet new people. When it’s a smaller group people tend to be less inclined to talk to new people, at least that’s how it felt today.

After a while, I just wasn’t feeling it anymore so I went to my car and decided to head to LA early. I also figured it would be easier getting to bungee jumping tomorrow being closer. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow and I didn’t exactly want to drive over two hours in a place I don’t know and risk missing the jump!

When I got to LA I checked into my hostel and then headed straight back to my car to go to Dodger Stadium. I knew it would be closed, but I couldn’t go to LA and not go see it! I was able to get as close as the welcome sign and that’s it. Every ounce of me wanted to hop the fence, just to get closer, but thankfully self-control prevailed and I went back to my car. I will definitely be back to see a game, hopefully this season if possible! Then I came back to the hostel to write a bit and go to bed.

This probably seems like the most boring post yet, but really it was just a good calm relaxing day!
